Sticks are SO Last Season...

I had the chance to do some family photos for this family on Sunday. We couldn't have asked for better fall weather and sunshine. You might recognize Daniel from a shoot I did back in June.

Daniel is now the proud big brother of little Amelia.

When I first did photos of Daniel in June, he couldn't get enough of picking up sticks. We had to bribe him with little twigs. This time was different. Daniel recently discovered those fantastic little pouffy dandelions. The only way we could get him to stay in one spot was to lure him with these flowers.

I like this last photo because it really shows Daniel's independence. He spent most of the shoot exploring the park and running away. Don't get me wrong, he was very happy and well-behaved, there were just better things for him to do than sit around and smile with his family.

Thanks Vanshay and Tyler! I loved doing photos for your beautiful family. And congratulations on your new little girl.

Hey TJ!
Nice stuff! I like how you capture the personality of the people in the pictures. Nice warm light too. I'm always playing around between hard light and running the light through a diffuser (or shade), and you seem to have found a nice combination for particular moods. I'll be posting some pictures tomorrow about some engagement pictures I recently too that I think went well - I'm also doing their wedding. They are so photogenic and love each other so much. Its always fun shooting families/couples/etc where the love is really evident, eh?!
