Rider Fans

Here are some shots of a session that I did a couple weeks ago. I met Nicole and Dwayne at their home and did a few shots of them and their dog (or should I say child??) Rider. Very sweet. I don't know how they keep up with him! Oh the energy! haha.

We then headed to an elementary school about a block away. I was more than delighted when I saw some positive phrases spray painted on the walls of the skating rink:

Thanks Nicole and Dwayne! I had a great time doing your photos!
(And a huge thanks to my mom for being a super-wonderful-reflector-holder!!)

Hey TJ!
Wow, phenominal work indeed! I bet they were very very happy with the results. I love your style, and I'm enjoying your new processing techniques. Do you just use curves and other layers, other photoshop filters/plug-ins, or your own actions? And I love the dog picture; there is tons of attitude in the dog picture its amazing. You have a nack for capture the moment and finding nice areas to shoot. I'm still on holidays and really enjoying it. Grabbed a few landscape pics today during my 6:30am golf tee off on a mountain golf course - gorgeous! And visiting some wineries at sunset is pretty awesome too. I love the mountains. I'll post some of my stuff when I get back, and again its all point-and-shoot, so its neat seeing what you can get out of those too.

P.S. - check the Canon rumor forums. September should be a big month for new Canon equipment. I've already saved my bucks, haha! Talk to you soon!

Thanks Justin!
Up until my photo session with Jill-Ann and Nathan, all I would do with photoshop was the typical touch ups, but I didn't (and still don't) quite know how to properly adjust curves, levels...etc... to get different effects. I recently picked up a set of actions (Totally Rad Actions http://gettotallyrad.com) and they've helped a bunch! I'm saving so much more time. I'd much rather be behind the camera than in front of the computer and I really like how the actions come out.
I'm really looking forward to seeing some shots from your holidays! Sounds like you're having a great time. And I'll be sure to see what's coming up with Canon. Although I shoot Pentax, it doesn't hurt to drool a little. ;)
